The Monster Employment Index in India shows a considerable increase in online hiring demand in many industries in 15 of the 27 industries in May 2021 as compared to May 2020. In April 2021, due to the onset of the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic, there was a drop in job advertisements in India, but there were signs of recovery in May 2021. May has been a solid month for advancement, despite the second wave of lockdowns. When compared to April 2021, May 2021 increased by 1%, whereas it climbed by 4% when compared to May 2020.

According to statistics, software, hardware, and telecommunications are growing in all major cities, including Bangalore (79 percent), Hyderabad (62 percent), and Chennai (50 percent). Mr. Sekhar Garisa, CEO of Monster.com and President of Quess Corp Limited's Emerging Businesses & Chief Strategy Officer, said it is encouraging to see some industries benefiting from the new normal and growing in the current, dynamic climate.

Employers added 559,000 jobs in May, according to the most recent US jobs report, due to a decline in COVID-19 cases in the US. Meanwhile, in the United States, corporate restrictions have been eased and immunizations have been increased, more than making up for recurrent workforce shortages. The US Labor Department also reported unemployment rate in the United States dropped from 6.1 percent to 5.8 percent.
